AIA MARYLAND

 AIA Maryland is a state component of the American Institute of Architects. Our mission is to serve our members, advance their value, and improve the quality of the built environment and the practice of architecture in Maryland through legislative and governmental action. 

 The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) directory of certified firms is intended to be used as a guide for identifying certified Minority (MBE)/Disadvantaged (DBE)/Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms to utilize on State and/or USDOT assisted contracts. 

 In keeping with its goal of increasing opportunities for minority, women and disabled-owned business enterprises, Baltimore County established the Minority Business Enterprise Commission (MBE). 

 APECx LLC is prequalified by the City of Baltimore's Office of Boards and Commissions in accordance with the Board of Estimates Resolution Relating to Architectural and Engineering Services to perform professional services on municipal projects of $50,000.00 or greater. 

 LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the most widely used green building rating system in the world.  LEED provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership. 

 APECx's principal architect and founder is a graduate of Cornell University.
